Every year there's that one candle that makes it officially feel like Christmas at your house, and for so many of us it's Balsam & Cedar. It's ILLUME's best-selling holiday scent, and it smells like a fresh-cut tree with a little something warm and spicy in the air. This one comes in their Baltic glass, which has a soft, salt-kissed finish that glows so pretty when it's lit. It's the bigger size with a long burn time, so you can light it every night from Thanksgiving to New Year's without worrying about running out.
This is ILLUME's full-size Baltic glass candle, so it has a nice presence on a coffee table, kitchen island, or entry table and gives you plenty of burn time for the whole season. For the cleanest, longest burn, let it burn long enough the first time to melt the wax all the way to the edge of the glass (usually two to three hours for this size), trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting, and don't burn it more than four hours at a time. The glass gets warm while it's lit, so set it on a heat-safe surface away from drafts, kids, and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended. When the candle is done, clean out the last bit of wax and reuse the glass for makeup brushes, cotton swabs, or a small plant.
